About Us

Club History

The club was chartered on 26 August 1996 with eighteen charter members. The first charter president for Lions Club of Mombasa Bahari was Vistasp Vatchha. Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller and communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the coast province a lion is always present ready to do what we do best "to serve".

Our Mission

To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international co-operation.

The Bahari Faharis – Ready to Help, Ready to Serve

Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller and communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the coast province a lion is always present ready to do what we do best "to serve".

The largest service club in the coast province

Our main objective is to resort hope in people who are facing severe poverty in the rural areas of the Coast region. We share love and care with orphans who have been abandoned, we plant trees and restore our natural surrounding so that our grandchildren will see the rewards, we also raise money to help people get the best medical services and help they need.
